If you choose to pay your tax through the EFTPS method, you are solely responsible for paying your federal taxes on time.
To pay the tax due, please visit www.EFTPS.gov website, or you may use the voice response system (1.800.555.3453) and schedule your payment.
We suggest you schedule your tax payment by 8 PM EST, the day before the payment due date, to be received timely by the IRS. The funds will move out of your banking account on the date you select for settlement. Once the payment is processed, you will receive an immediate acknowledgment of your payment from EFTPS.
Note: You must be enrolled to use the EFTPS® tax payment service. If you haven’t enrolled, you can enroll in various ways.
Visit https://www.eftps.gov or call the following EFTPS® Customer Service number to request an enrollment form:
- 800-555-4477
- 877-333-8292 (Federal Agencies)
- 800-733-4829 (TDD Hearing-Impaired)
- 800-244-4829 (Español)
If this is your first time enrolling in EFTPS®, your information will need to be validated with the IRS. After this process is complete, you will receive a personal identification number (PIN) via U.S. Mail in five to seven business days at your IRS address of record. You can then use this PIN to login into your EFTPS account.
