I chose the check option for paying the tax dues while e-filing my extension. What do I do next?

If you opt to make a payment through a check or money order while e-filing your extension, follow these steps:

Step 1: Once you e-file your extension through ExpressExtension, download and print the extension form.

Step 2: Attach the extension form to the check or money order. Do not send cash.

Step 3: Make the check or money order payable to the "United States Treasury." Write your Social Security Number (SSN), daytime phone number, and "2023 Form Name" on your check or money order.

Step 4: Do not staple or attach your payment to the extension form.

Step 5: Send the extension form along with your payment to the appropriate mailing address. The mailing address depends on your state of residence.
