To discuss your extension with the IRS, call (800) 829-4933 and ensure you have the following information ready:

• Submission ID: This is the unique 20-digit identification number assigned to your electronically transmitted tax return.

• Electronic Postmark: The actual date and time (based on your time zone) when the extension was electronically transmitted to the IRS.
