Find answers to your questions.
Can I pay the taxes I owe to the IRS while filing my personal tax extension in ExpressExtension?

Yes, if you owe taxes to the IRS, you can make your payment while filing a personal tax extension in ExpressExtension using any of the following methods:

  • Electronic Funds Withdrawal (EFW): To pay your tax dues through EFW, you must provide your checking or savings account information so the IRS can withdraw the funds directly. The application will automatically set the Payment Request Date (i.e., the withdrawal date) to the day the IRS receives your extension.

  • Check/Money Order: After transmitting your extension, ensure your check is payable to the "United States Treasury." The mailing address depends on your location. You can find the correct address for your area on this page.

  • Debit/Credit Card: To pay using a debit or credit card, click here for further instructions.

Make sure to complete your payment by the deadline to avoid penalties.
