The IRS received date would be the actual date when the IRS accepts your form for the very first instance. If there are one or more rejections within that 5 calendar days look back period, IRS uses the received date on the earliest reject (or the Electronic Postmark, if applicable, of the earliest reject) as the IRS Received Date for the accepted form.
