The IRS has rejected my extension. What should I do next?

The next step would be to correct the errors and re-transmit the return. For that, click the 'Rejected' button found against the return on the dashboard. From here, you'll be able to find out the errors that led to the rejection of your extension. Then, click the 'Fix Me' button found against each error and correct those. Once done, you can re-transmit your extension free of charge.
