Oklahoma State Business Tax Extension Filing Instructions

Oklahoma doesn’t require businesses (Corporation, partnerships, S-Corporations, and fiduciaries) to file a separate Business Tax extension form if they have an approved federal extension from filing Form 7004. The extended due date will be the same as the federal extended due date. A copy of your federal application should be attached to your state return when it’s filed.

If your federal extension was rejected or you didn’t apply for a federal extension, you can file a separate Oklahoma business tax extension form.

How to pay the state tax due?

A tax extension gives you more time to file, not to pay. At least 90% of your Oklahoma tax due must be paid by the original deadline of the return.

You can make your extension payment electronically. When you make your extension payment electronically, do not mail OK Form 504-C. When you file your income tax return, simply enclose a copy of Oklahoma Form 504-C.

Does ExpressExtension support this State filing?

Yes, you can Complete the Oklahoma Extension Form with ExpressExtension in minutes. Our application validates your form by performing an internal audit to check for errors. Once complete, all you need to do is print your form and mail it to the address we’ve provided. Please note: An extension to file doesn’t mean more time to pay, if you owe any tax due, make your tax payment by the original due date of your state return to avoid late payment penalties.

Any Special Requirements?

An extension cannot be granted for more than one-half the accounting period covered by the partnership or fiduciary return (i.e. 6-month extension for a 12 month tax year). In the case of a corporate return, an extension may not exceed a total of 7 months.
