Businesses operating in Alabama are not required to file a separate Business tax extension form with the state department if having an approved federal extension by filing form 7004. The state will automatically provide a six-month extension of time to file an Alabama Business Tax Return, as long as you have successfully filed a federal business tax extension and paid 100% of your tax due by the original due date.
Extension Form to use
There is no state-specific form to request an extension, as the state of Alabama automatically provides the extension for up to 6 months for businesses to file an income tax return with the state.
