Does ExpressExtension support this State filing?
Yes, you can complete and file your New Jersey Individual tax extension Form with ExpressExtension in minutes. Our application validates your form by performing an internal audit to check for errors. Once complete, all you need to do is print your form and mail it to the address we provide. Please Note: An extension to file doesn’t mean more time to pay, if you owe any tax due, make your tax payment by the original due date of your state return to avoid late payment penalties.
Any Special Requirements?
An extension of time is granted only to file a New Jersey Income Tax return. There is no extension of time to pay the tax due. You must pay at least 80% of any owed taxes no later than the regular due date of the return to avoid a late filing penalty. If your withholdings, estimated payments, or other payments do not equal at least 80% of your total tax due, make a payment with your extension application to ensure you have at least 80% paid.
If the 80% requirement is not met, the extension will be retroactively denied, and penalty and interest will be imposed from the original due date of the return.
