How long does it take to e-file an extension with ExpressExtension?

If you have all the required information ready (name/business name, EIN, income tax form details, estimated tax amount due, etc.), entering the details should take less than 15 minutes. Once you've submitted your extension form, it is transmitted to the IRS, and you should receive your acceptance status within a few minutes. During peak filing times, there may be slight delays, but we’ll send the acceptance status as soon as the IRS processes your form.

Note: If you file on weekends or federal holidays and choose Direct Debit (EFW) as your payment method, the IRS will process your return on the next business day.
