How long does it take for the IRS to accept my extension?

Generally, the IRS takes a few minutes to review and accept your transmitted forms. During peak filing periods, there may be slight delays, but we will send you the acceptance status via email as soon as the IRS processes your form. You can also track your form status from the 'Dashboard.'

Note: To ensure your extension is approved and marked as "on time" by the IRS, we highly recommend submitting your extension request before midnight on the IRS deadline.
