The extension for these forms is no longer automatic. However, extensions may be granted under specific circumstances, such as:
- When the filer has experienced a catastrophic event in a federally declared disaster area that has made them unable to operate,
- When a fire, casualty, or natural disaster has affected the filer's operation.
- When the individual responsible for filing the information returns has experienced death, serious illness, or unavoidable absence, or
- When the filer is in their first year of establishment.
