When does the payment gets withdrawn from my bank account for the EFW payment option?

If you choose to make your tax payment using the EFW method in ExpressExtension, the Payment Request Date is the date when the actual debit will occur from your account.

It's important to note that the Payment Request Date will default to the date you file your extension Form in ExpressExtension. To avoid IRS penalties, ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account on that date.

Additionally, if the requested payment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, the payment will be withdrawn on the next business day.
