If you choose EFTPS to make a tax payment, log in to the EFTPS website and select the 'Make a Payment' button and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the payment process.
The amount of tax due will be transferred to the IRS on the date that you specify. For timely tax payments with EFTPS and to avoid IRS penalty, schedule your payment to the IRS at least one day before the due date.
