The IRS has rejected my Extension, and the deadline is passed. How much time do I have to correct and re-transmit?

Your timeline also called the perfection period which, is the 5 calendar days given by the IRS  to perfect (or correct) and retransmit a rejected extension. Furthermore, the duration will never be extended despite weekends, holidays, or the end-of-the-year cutoff.

Also note: Typically, the perfection period begins when an extension is transmitted timely.
